Shreeya Menon
MSc. Counselling Psychology
Shreeya has a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Sociology from Sophia College, Mumbai and a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from Rajiv Gandhi National institute of Youth Development, Chennai. Currently Shreeya is a Research Scholar. Shreeya has also worked for a brief period as a School Counsellor at Orchids the International School, Bangalore. As a counselling psychologist, she places immense faith on her clients and works with them towards their goals with a non-judgemental attitude and unconditional positive regard. Shreeya believes in Carl Rogers's school of thought which describes humans as people with the potential to achieve their goals and desires if provided an appropriate environment. Her approach to her clients is similar, she believes that her clients have the capabilities to reach their goals and she provides them with an environment to grow and flourish. Shreeya uses her research skills in her practice to give her clients the newest scientifically effective techniques that best suits them. She understands that an individual’s society and its functioning impacts one’s mental health.. thus, her approach always remains to understand her client’s situation from a socio-political and cultural perspectives by using the tools and techniques of feminist therapy. Shreeya has experience in helping clients with workplace stress, relationship problems , stress management among others. Apart from this, Shreeya has facilitated workshops for NGOs and has taken certificate courses to enhance her knowledge and skills. Shreeya encourages and affirms ethical practices in counselling. Finally, one of her favourite quotes of Viktor Frankl is "Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom." When she is not researching or seeing clients, Shreeya enjoys cooking, binge watching TV series, volunteering and dancing away all her worries.
Sanchita Singh
MA. Counselling Psychology
Sanchita is a certified professional counselor. She has professional experience in the field of mental health and has impacted many lives. She has worked in schools like Delhi Public School and Gurukul the school as a school counselor. She is currently working as a research scholar. She has been called as a guest speaker and a panelist on many known platforms like Sahyog live session, an initiative of the Ministry of Education, and Manav Rachna International University. Apart from this, Sanchita has been conducting several workshops in different organizations for mental health awareness. Her approach towards counseling is person-centered, practical, interactive, and solution-focused. The approach adopted by her is honoring, kind to enable the client to feel safe, accepted, heard, and not judged. Space helps the client to vent and feel better, helping them to acknowledge their emotions, feelings, and vulnerabilities. Using integrative and holistic therapy approaches a blend of elements and techniques from different approaches to counseling such as Humanistic psychology, Gestalt therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Adlerian Psychotherapy. She has the experience and is comfortable with a broad range of issues including, anxiety, depression, grief, family conflict, self-esteem, anger management, parenting, coping skills, spirituality, emotional disturbances, relationship issues, and stress. In her counseling sessions, she attempts to help clients get in touch with themselves so that they are better able to make sense of their experiences and relate better with others. She believes that one cannot know the meaning of life unless and until one is connected with one's own self and the power that has created us. Other than that when she is free she likes to practice meditation to ground herself daily, do journaling to get in touch with her own emotions, and surround herself with nature.
